Tips for combating colds and flu

Get the jump on the cold or flu!

Given the cold and flu season is here, I am going to share a recipe for immunity juice that you can make yourself at the first sign of a cold, or better yet, before!

Ingredients like parsley combats infection, horseradish clears the sinuses and garlic is a major antiviral!
  • 1 bunch parsley
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 inch-thick round horseradish root
  • 1 orange
  • 2-4 drops of oil of oregano (for adults only)
  • 5 inch knob of ginger
  • 2 inch knob of turmeric
  • 1 large clove garlic
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 stalks celery
Combine ingredients in a juicer and blend.
Also, any time you get sick, you need to increase your intake of friendly flora. Good intestinal bacteria helps to produce virus fighting anti-bodies and aids in vitamin absorption. Taken in supplement form or in probiotic-rich foods such as kimchi, miso, sauerkraut and kefir, probiotics are the key to the building up your immunity.

Let me know what you do that works to fight infection, naturally!
